When I met Susan, it was at a previous Upmarket. I was so inspired to make paper after seeing her amazing creations.

Luckily for me, we kept in touch and she hosted a workshop over the weekend.
Excited !
I thought my nieces would also enjoy learning the craft so I brought them along to the class and we had some fun.

Although I wasn't able to take any step by step photographs since my hands were wet most of the time, it was quite fun and I can't wait to start creating at home.

In the bath we started with the blended paper and water and blended skeleton leaves then added some opened tea bags and paint. The fun part of this is that you can add anything natural. :)

I am not much of an artist when paint is concerned, but I do enjoy sitting and exploring that artistic side of me - even tho it isn't the greatest.

Doing a Sip & Paint class was on my Summertime Bucket List and so today I joined Irie Elephant for their Art for the Soul Coffee & Canvas class. It was my first time there, and I definitely would like to go back... not just to paint again but there is a cute little cafe that is perfect for a lunch date.

This would be my 3rd Paint Along class. The first class I ever did was back in 2011 in Lakeland, Fl. The 2nd was for my birthday last year where we did a beautiful Peacock. And today, my 3rd is a field of flowers and grass with 2 lady bugs. My lady bugs weren't the cutest as it looked like a butt crack in the beginning. :)
Have you ever done a Paint Along class?
Leave your link in the comments. I'll love to check it out. :)

What's New With You

Linking up this Thursday with Gretchen & Kristen for my monthly recap.

What's New With Me

My Being |  I started writing and taking photographs again. I can't tell you how amazing it feels to rekindle with that part of me !

Professional Life | Time for a change is what I keep telling myself. There are so many things I love and good at and I have decided to start making my dream of a goodies company come to reality. Currently been sourcing packaging and the next step is to create a logo. Excited but still keeping it on the d.lo. :)

Greenthumbalina | I've started hoarding herbs! I learned a lot from my Dad always growing Chive and Mint, but I took my love for planting a little too extreme. Chocolate mint, Pineapple mint, Orange mint, Apple mint, Sage, Lemon Balm, Rosemary - ahhhh ! My latest purchase was quite different. My very first Sunflower!

Inspiration | Rereading the works of  Pablo Neruda always stirs up my creative and inspiring soul. Always. Hands down, I think he would have truly been a man who knew how to love a woman in her raw and uncovered nature.

Four Eyes | Rocking my black frames to see if it helps with my headaches, tho somedays I just want it off my face.

Joy of Celebration | Dad's birthday was on the 15th and it was the saddest one yet. It is tough not having him here. There was a huge heaviness weighing on my heart and shoulders that day. For the downs there are ups - like my Brother's marriage which was the week after and a few days after that was Mom's birthday. Celebrating life, past, present and future.

What have you been up to?

You know that excited feeling you get when you book your summer vacation tickets? And.... that is all you can think about?

Yep.
That's me right now.

And although it is the yearly Family vacation in our breathtakingly beautiful sister island Tobago - it will and always leave me excited.
Excited for the turquoise waters, the blistering sun (yes!), the smiling faces, the stress-less feeling, the sunsets, the inspiration and the exploration!

This time I have decided to also take my car, so we can do more exploring around the island - that means more locally-inspired blog posts & photosnaps!

Check out some of my past-posts from Tobago.

Perhaps the early bird doesn't always catch the worm.
Thinking this morning, as we headed to the Pineapple festival at the Green Market - everything would be pineapple.

So although it has become a joy to go, we were a bit disappointed as it was not as "pineapply" as we thought, esp P, who wanted Pineapple juice, but alas, there was every other kind of juice, but no Pineapple. Perhaps we were a bit too early, or maybe didn't see what we expected to see, but all in all - it was still a lovely morning.
[Pineapple & Strawberry Crêpe]
Yes, I am Vegan and I use to be incredibly strict, however over the last 2 years I dropped my guard and now I tend to eat Vegan 97.9% of the time, so there are the occasional cheats - like a sushi night or a Crêpe - just a heads up. :)
