For as long as I know, I have been bugged about when would I get serious with my photography and do it as a profession.

For me, it had always been the hobby, passion and joy of snapping pictures and it was something I didn't want to ruin.

Many years have passed and photography is still very strong in my veins. Now, in life, I have been told we are born with gifts and to use them. Photography and writing are just a few of my gifts. I was born one of those "hat hoarders" if you wish, and find myself in all sorts of stuff.

As I have mentioned in my last post, I am moving on from retail and ready to pursue what I was born to do !

Last night I gave myself that "That's it !" attitude. I fixed my photographs and some pieces and bought another website (I'm Godaddy's best customer, btw) lol -- and I worked on it for hours ! Now, it's finally complete ! -- My Portfolio

I am happy and I am ready to bring in the new year with more happiness and to start doing what I love.

With all that said, I have a few prints ready for sale here !

And I figure with the Christmas season approaching, how about this lovely Christmas card?

What have you guys been up to?
Tell me, do you have a passion you were born to live?
Let's chat !

I have been so quiet, I know. On here & social media -- I've been terribly busy with work and since I am closing my store at the end of the year, I decided to try a fair yesterday which - sadly - was just a waste of a Sunday for me. So disappointed. :(

All week & weekend I have been running on zero sleep, zero energy and ended up cuddled in bed at 8pm and out like a light bulb. Ever have those days?

Of course, as every Monday rolls around I go "Yes, I'll start back working out today"... well you and I both know very well THAT didn't happen. I did however find myself back into the kitchen, which is so exciting for me !

I finally finished the Nativity Scene this weekend -- and it was possibly one of the worst, stressed, emotional feelings. I decided this year I would create it using a desk. Of course, great idea ! I had everything planned out in my head. Now, getting down to it, the paper wouldn't stay, the "flame bulb" kept shutting off, and then I opened my figurines to find one of the wise men completely broken. *tear*... and during all that, I was filming for the blog and either my battery was so low that the camera shut off or I just didn't press record? I don't know... but I was a mess.

In the end... it's still not 100% but it's still nice. And my wise man? Well, lets just say he looks like quite the badass with a wicked face scar!

Hi friends, linking up with Gretchen & Kristen today for a monthly recap of October !

What a month October was, huh?
It started with a surprise dinner for my brother who graduated a few weeks before.

I have been working non stop that I haven't even made it back to the gym as yet. It has become one of those constant saying "I'll start Monday" -- and of course, we known darn well it won't happen on Monday. Ha! Dammit - I miss it so much. I could feel a huge difference in my body since I stopped, and that isn't a 'good' difference. booooo !

Speaking of boooo.... Halloween came and went so quickly!

I think I was so caught up in all my Birthday glee I pretty much threw the idea of Halloweening out the window.

Celebrating my 35th Birthday !!

I did get to carve my own pumpkin this year and it was quite fun but also quite messy.

This month I was also super excited to see a nest being made and lived in right in my porch that I couldn't contain myself but to document it!
Welcome to the world Hubert & Marjorie
Nesting with their Mummy
And Mummy & Daddy spending the last night with them
soooo sweet !!!

Catching Sunsets <3

In the earlier part of October, after 3 years, we scattered Dad's ashes in his favourite fishing spot. Due to personal reasons, I won't disclose any photographs of that moment.
In the evening, my family got together for a little sharing.

Can we talk about Sushi? I think Sushi is always a good idea. I swear, it cures everything and brings out the crazy in all of us.

Random selfie.

My darling Missy-Ophelia turned 9. I can't believe it. She is just the most sweetest angel ever !

Ending some evenings grabbing a snow-cone around the Savannah.

With being busy with work a lot these days, I am really thankful for the moments I get to enjoy like these.
Although the time frame is jumbled. It was a lovely October and now we welcome November.
So excited we are getting closer to Christmas !!

A long awaited recap of how I celebrated my 35th Birthday. I love to celebrate a few days before and after so I can share the joy of another year with all those I love.

The pre-birthday

Wednesday morning I decided to get my family together to meet by Mom at night and have a little birthday dinner. Something simple - BBQ, Creamed Potatoes, Corn in Coconut milk, Hummus and Salad.

As everyone arrived, we ate, laughed and enjoyed being together. My Mom surprised me with a cake. The Bakery didn't have Chocolate (*sigh*) so she got Tiramisu. Bless her heart.

Of course, what is a cake without candles? So, Mom and my brother rummaged through a collection of past candles we had - found a 3, and added 5 candles, with uncontrollable laughter, it just made the cake and the moment even more special.

Thursday night I wanted to spend it with my friends and do an ice-cream date. I made plans to meet at Haagen Daaz by the Savannah. Unfortunately, minutes before I got 2 cancellations due to work - so, already dressed, P and I decided we would go for oven baked Pizza at La Cantina. Yum yum yum !

We were in and out in half hour ! So, we thought to ourselves, what shall we do now? Twiddling our thumbs....

"Ah! There is an Art Exhibition that opens tonight at Alliance Francaise showcasing the work of Jackie Hinkson" - so we went.

Birthday-day

I started my birthday with Midday mass and a visit to the Blessed Sacrament. Unfortunately I had to work on my birthday -- but such is life. I was however looking forward to spending the night with P.

P made reservations for us at Town. Whilst getting ready, I realized how long I haven't worn heels - ouch!

The food came incredibly quick and it was a lot ! We even took home to have the following day.   The night was perfect in itself.

Post Birthday

P really wanted to check out the new Starbucks that opened up, so we woke up and headed out. I ordered a Hot Chocolate and P got a Cafe Mocha.

After, we left there and decided we would meet up with 2 friends and get breakfast at Riley's... however breakfast turned into an impromptu full day of hanging out.

After we took a drive down to Crews Inn and had a few drinks. One of the drinks I had was (as printed on the bill) a Bartender's special... and boy, was it special on the wallet ! wtf. Never again will I trust a bartender to just "make something special" for me. Ha!

With the sun setting and nighttime slowly creeping in, we left and went home, got ready and met back up again for a music show in Fiesta Plaza - which was amazing !
If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, I snapped a few videos from the night so you would have seen a little peek.

Post-Post Birthday

What a lazy Sunday I had. I cuddled up with Missy-Ophelia, worked on my blog layout and template and cleaned up a bit. In the night my sister, her husband and kids came by. We ordered pizza and devoured icecream -- pretty much summing up a wonderful 35th Birthday.
